So here it is, the final post:
What did you think of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn? I know, a little anti-climactic here after all the discussions that we've had, but personally, I'm done with thinking. :)

DISCUSSION QUESTION 4
Wow, four already? Cool,
So interesting chapters...to say the least. Let's keep this question simple: how does the duke and the dauphin compare to Huck and Jim?
Go crazy, seems as though everyone else is already...

WEDNDSDAY: Chapter 31

DISCUSSION QUESTION 3
We're about halfway done!!
But to the actual question:
The end of chapter 18 is something that kind of stuck in my mind, really the whole thing with chapter 17 and 18 was interesting. I think that this is Twain's way of mocking modernized society.
I'll leave it at that and then put my opinion in my post, what do you guys think? Is this another go at adults, society, I read somewhere about how he might be satirizing religion, so what do you think?

DISCUSSION QUESTION 2
If you can't tell, I'm bad at making up discussion questions that will have a lot of conversation, so tell me if you have other ideas.
The last line of Chapter 8 (in my book) has Jim describing how he wished he'd have the money that he was worth. He said "I wisht I had de monet, I wouldn' want no mo'." I liked this idea, so do you think that Jim would be happy with that money, especially considering all the other money that he used to have and what became of it? What do you think Huck is looking for to be happy? Do you think that humans can ever be satisfied with what they have?
Let's try to keep this discussion going throughout the book and see if the ideas change as things progress, I haven't read too far ahead, so I don't know if this is revisited.

DISCUSSION QUESTION
So in my copy of the book there is a few comment on the page opposite Chapter One. This one got my laughing, but also got me to start wondering about the motivation behind it, what do you think?
"NOTICE:
Persons attempting to find a motive in this narrative will be prosecuted; persons attempting to find moral in it will be banished; persons attempting to find a plot will be shot.
By order of the author
Per G.G., Chief of Ordnance."
I don't know if this has anything to do with the plot, but figured it's a decent pre-reading discussion, so go for it!
